Magical Light is the most important thing that I use when creating my black & white and color photographs, photoetchings and photogravures. Light gives my images life and spirit. My early photographs are images that depict the collaboration of man-made structures and landscape elements. My more recent photographic images are more concerned with the essence of the subject rather than objectifying it. I am trying to capture an indescribable beauty and magic that exists in nature and within us.

Currently I am working on a body of work called "Someday I Will Be Free" that connects me directly with the things I am experiencing within myself. I am using photograms (a camera-less technique) to express the full range of my emotions and many aspects of my life experiences. I use my body, natural elements and simple everyday objects to symbolize my thoughts, feelings, and my place in the world as a Black American male.
